This is the first Pixar film in quite some time that I left disappointed by. It didn’t feel as fresh and groundbreaking as the normal Pixar movie. The overall theme is nice to see (Mother/daughter relationship) and having a female director is a wonderful change for the Pixar boys club. I wanted to like this movie more but it just never connected with me like almost every other Pixar film out there. It’s a shame because it does looks gorgeous at times and has some pretty cute/funny moments but they just can’t save the overall mediocre story being told.
